LinkedIn Profile Examples
What a good profile looks like, one section at a time.

Looking at great LinkedIn profiles is useful, but copying one wholesale isn't. Below is an annotated sample profile (fictional, for illustration) that shows what each section is doing, plus the checklist we use to score real profiles.
A good LinkedIn profile has a headline built around the role you want, an About section that opens with who you help, experience bullets that show results, skills that match the job, and complete basics. The average overall score across the profiles we've analyzed is 54/100, so most profiles have room to improve.

Why the headline works
Role first, the keywords PMs are searched by, then one proof point. See more in our headline examples.
About
I help B2B software teams turn sign-ups into active users. I led a redesign of our onboarding that lifted activation by 18%, and I run experiments with SQL, Amplitude and plenty of customer interviews. Open to senior product roles in fintech and developer tools.
Why the About works
Opens with who the profile owner helps, backs it with a number, names the tools and states what she wants next. More in our About section examples.
Experience
Product Manager, Northwind Software · 2022 to present
- Redesigned onboarding for 40,000 monthly sign-ups, lifting activation from 31% to 49%.
- Ran 22 A/B tests in a year; 9 shipped, adding roughly $1.2M in annual recurring revenue.
- Partnered with design and engineering across 3 squads to ship a self-serve billing flow.
Why the Experience works
Every bullet states an outcome, not a duty, and includes a number. This is the most common gap we see on real profiles.
Skills
Product Management, A/B Testing, SQL, Growth Strategy, Customer Research, Roadmapping
The three most role-relevant skills are pinned at the top.

Banner ideas
The banner is optional, but a blank one looks unfinished. Keep it simple, and keep key text away from the edges since it crops differently on mobile and desktop.
- A short tagline for what you do and who you do it for
- A relevant image: your workspace, a conference stage, a product screenshot
- A clean brand color with your specialty in text
